i kindda agree with muzikritik. their albums since 1996 werent that great. bloodflowers has long boring songs and jumped from acousting to electronic drums sounds that were a shock for cure fans (same with WMS) as it broke the mood of the album. jason is not bringing much to the table and his style is killing the band. also robert should bring keyboards back an of course a good creative drummer.
Sorry bro, but you’re a little misguided. I think there’s this idealistic album that a lot of people have in their heads that’s Something like a cross between disintegration & pornography. You have to move… Wish was great. WMS was good (a couple of songs too long). Bloodflowers was amazing. The Cure - about 4 good songs. 4:13 Dream - immaculate. I hated it at first, but after about 50 listens, I have decided it’s brilliant. So thank you Robert and crew for NOT giving up after wish…
An artist must know when to stop and The Cure should´ve stopped in 1993 after the Wish Tour.
1996´s Wild Mood Swing was the most disappointing album of the year. The record was full of **** except for Jupiter Crash.
Then Bloodflower came but it was clearly an stupid effort to get back to roots but failed: the magic escaped when Porl Thompson and Boris Williams departed in 1993. Perry Bamonte was average and Jason Cooper a bad drummer. At least for The Cure.
The us tour, they played from 33 to 35 songs. There are hardly any bands that CAN even remember 33 songs, much less have that many songs that people like. You dont know *** you are talking about, that’s pretty fucking clear.
cannot understand why so many people areleaving negative comments, if you dont like the cure then dont listen to them. to me they are the most outstanding band of all time.
Jason Cooper is the longest sitting drummer the cure has ever had and has been part of some of the baddest *** songs ever produced. You people that talk garbage about jason are morons.
there’s something very shiver and shake about this song. I can’t wait to see them live again and for the other cd that was supposed to come out with 4 13 dream to be released.
I would say after Wish only Bloodflowers is worth. They should have stopped there, it could have been a honorable farewell.
April 6th, 2009 at 16:43Bloodflowers is simply perfect…. in my opinion, it’s their best album after disintegration…
April 9th, 2009 at 22:55Bloodflowers is one of the best, and Perry Bamonte was the best guitarist in The Cure and composer too, not only Robert

May 19th, 2009 at 23:11Bloodflowers is weak… songs are loose, unnecessarily long songs, etc. didn’t do well in the sales department either.. nothing special.
