He still seems so young at heart, it’s amazing.

  2. iminthestatic Says:

how are the strokes ‘god-like geniuses’? the cure should’ve got it.. and they did. if anyone else, i’d say radiohead.

  3. alexthemod1 Says:

the strokes were nominated for it…

  4. LoganBridges Says:

lol the strokes will evenually get it but they only released 3 albums in a career of 10 years you have to be in the business for at least 20 years to get a shot

  5. alexthemod1 Says:

I disagree. I don’t think he’s evil. He’s been hurt by religion and ravening wolves in sheep’s clothing (”I look at your face, and feel my heart pushed in…I cannot hold what you devour the sacrifice of penance in the holy hour”) where in the Bible does it say that penance is something we have to do? I don’t find it anywhere.
and the lie that people have to work their way into heaven (keeping it clean, taking one for the team).

Robert Smith looks so evil, he has a crooked little twisted smile as soon as he mentions no religion for a year.Brilliant guy though.

great interview & Robert looks great - he’s so cute. i like his little laugh at the end when he says he has to act professional.

  12. designersagainstaids Says:

It took a looooooooooong thime for the UK music press to figure this out, but finally The Cure got what they’ve deserved since 30 years- bravo!

  13. frostedwhat Says:

I have to say this in response to something you said earlier–you *can* be the best thing! because *no one* sounds like *you!* : ) You have that special cure sound…had it before anybody else…everybody else taht sounds like you is merely a copy. No one plays minor chords like you!!!
(forgot to mention that in my somewhat kneejerk reaction to the God stuff..which is also true too, but : )

  14. VeronikaValentine Says:

    Long overdue award x

  15. frostedwhat Says:

organized religion as a whole does tend to be screwed up but we can’t judge God by what his quote unquote people do…if you looked at the old testement, you’d see the Israelites and kings after God’s own heart making huge blunders…please don’t lump God in with fallen humans, Robert. It’s not fair. Free will and all that.

  16. staender81 Says:

Respect, Robert has right, don’t belive in God, belive in yourselve.

    Thanks for the Upload.

  17. mrgreynomore Says:

“Celebrate in a professional manner”, eh? :-)) That alone made this interview worthwhile, though the religion bit was a close second!
