Diabetes is not a big business. Diabetes is a war. a war that we fight everyday.
February 22nd, 2009 at 03:37My bestfriend is a type 1 diabetic. I know it’s difficult but she lives her life to her fullest. While she has her ups and downs shes always on top : ]
February 25th, 2009 at 03:42we need a cure
this is a great video. i no exactly how u feel. im 15 and have diabetes for a long time. i no what it is like growing up with diabetes
February 26th, 2009 at 16:49Beautiful video. I’m a type one diabetic. I’ve had diabetes for over 16 years (since I was 6). Childhood with this disease is difficult but I believe that every day we come closer to a cure.
February 27th, 2009 at 20:01What a truly lovely video to our heros,,my daughter charlotte was diagnosed when she was 6 she is 9 n ow and without her courage and strength i would have found this so much harder she is my inspiration and my hero i am so so proud of her and always will be..love you sweetheart xx
February 28th, 2009 at 15:15Never give up hope…my 17 yr old daughter was diagnosed 12 yrs ago, when she was 5 yrs old…I share your worry and pain as a parent..our children are the bravest people I know..God bless and take care…we are working on our family team for this year’s walk and saw your beautiful video..thank you for sharing
March 3rd, 2009 at 20:12Sweetheart7100, How soon is soon? 10 years? 100 years???? If you are a tree or a rock 50 years might be soon. But people die and 10 years might be forever. Wake up. That “Cure Soon” message is just a carrot they hang in front of a dumbass to get them to walk for a cure.
March 6th, 2009 at 00:57Spbeyond,,Here’s where your logic is wrong. Treating a condition is profitable forever. Curing a condition is a one time charge. If a cure is worth billions treatments are worth Trillions and Trillions… They will not kill the goose that lays the golden eggs by curing diabetes.
March 8th, 2009 at 11:47Someday soon there will be a cure, some people just needs to have faith. Hopefully everyone does not give up like others, and continue to help fund the cure. Shame on people who loose faith.
March 10th, 2009 at 21:18Shame on you, you probablly don’t think there is a God either. Thank God there are so many people who do have faith. There will be a cure.
March 10th, 2009 at 23:45People need to wake up and quit funding the JDRF. There will NEVER be a MARKETED CURE for diabetes. Do the math. 1 cure=$Billions$ of profits lost for drug companies, doctors, research labs, hospitals, medical supply companies, etc… Diabetes is big business! Diabetes is an industry! Profits are made by treating and not by curing this condition. Quit lying to kids and giving false hope and promises. There is no Santa Clause, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy or MARKETED CURE for diabetes!
March 12th, 2009 at 11:22they will find a cure. and its ok, i have the disease, my little brother got it and manyyyyyyyy other people have it also. we just have to be very patient with it. my brother was in the hospital for 4 days. i was with him every minute and he was there for me too. so its great that so many people are learning about the disease everyday. =]
March 14th, 2009 at 19:01not everyone can actually afford an omnipod. they are really realllyyy expensive
March 16th, 2009 at 16:36Omnipod is an insulin pump you still need to test your blood everday. Omnipod is awe some though because it requires no tubing
March 18th, 2009 at 02:23I understand your frustration. The sad thing is that Page’s work on achieving better blood sugar levels has been out for over 40 years. I studied with him in 1971. The pharmaceutical companies have told me flat out that they are not interested because it is not patentable. It does work. R.F.
March 19th, 2009 at 01:03If there was/is a cure then I think all parents would want this for their kids that have to be poked up to 10 times and 4+ shots daily. My daugter is diabetic because her body fought against her and killed of the “keys” that unlock the cells to allow the sugar to do what it is suppose to do.
March 21st, 2009 at 23:36NOW if there’s a cure or just an overactive pituitary gland THEN GIVE IT TO US.
Sorry if I sound a bit rude. We deal with this24/7 and noone knows what we go through but others with type 1.
But hey the thing u have 2 test the blood everyday!..Well they have a new thing called Omipod..Right?..y cant People who have diabetes use that?!..Plzz give me a mesage!
March 24th, 2009 at 23:02HAHAHAHAHA.. A cure would be worth billions and billions. NO one would be able to hold back a cure. (Type ones) Type 2 cure is stop eating (DUH) -Type one
March 25th, 2009 at 02:56That is the Omnipod. The only tubingless insulin pump.
March 27th, 2009 at 18:55There is a cure, and probably has been for a many years. People diagnosed as far back as 1950’s were all told “5 years for a cure” by top medical professionals, they knew something we didn’t, unfortunately money got in the way because they don’t cure people when sick people spend hundreds of billions on prescription drugs .They tend to make MORE diseases so they can prescribe MORE drugs. LCT technologies Australia. They are the only honest people in the world. Invest in them. They have a cure
April 1st, 2009 at 17:33I just love this video/song, you did an awesome job. My daughter is about her age and I know the hurt, the why, the late nights worrying if they will be ok while they sleep. But I know that GOD has it all in his hands. I pray everyday that GOD would make it possible for a cure and to annoint (give those the wisdom and knowledge) to be able to make a cure for ALL these poor children. For our family knows all too well the heartache having to poke at your child like they are a pincushion.
April 1st, 2009 at 19:34What a beautiful video, and a beautiful little girl. I’m a Type 1 Diabetic, and have been for 10 years. I know how hard it can be, and how it forces you to face your mortality. Thank you so much for this video!
